Hi everyone,

My brother recently bought a new PC (parts below) but is having problems. The machine is all built yet no power goes to his keyboard or mouse and the monitor just says no signal, case lights are on, fans are spinning, motherboard is lit up, yet no display at all. I went in and made sure all cables were in securely and in their right positions but still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200g

GPU: AMD RX 570

RAM: 4 x 2GB DDR4

MOTHERBOARD: Asus Prime b450 Plus

SSD: Kingston 250gb SSD

Iam not a AMD pro but i remember that some Board/CPU Combinations need a BIOS-Update first. Maybe someone can verify this.

True, however the B450 is compatible with the 2200G out of the box. 300 chipset = Ryzen 1000. 400 chipset = Ryzen 2000. 500 chipset = Ryzen 3000.

Do you have the monitor plugged in to the back of the graphics card or the motherboard?

I have it plugged into the graphics card, but I also tried with the motherboard, however, no signal for both.

Do you have the motherboard speaker plugged in? This is used to perform beep codes on boot errors. You may also try resetting the CMOS.

Oh thanks for the short „AMD Tech Summary“ :)

I am a little bit concerned about Mouse and Keyboard doesn’t light up.
Does not look like and GPU Problem to me.

to verify this, you could take out the Graphics Card and try to power on the PC again.
