Thats a bit of a strange title but i have found myself in a situation where i want another pair of headphones that are nice for the music i listen too so i can have one pair at my computer and one pair by my couch/potentially bring with me and i dont have to unplug my 558s from my desktop all the time.

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD558s atm and i feel they fit my taste in music well, they were a recomendation from a previous thread on here so i thought id ask again :)

my budget is fairly strict, i would like to keep it around €100 but that might go up explosivly once i find a job so if you have a budget friendly option and a more expensive one at maybe a coupple hundred i would be grateful :D

This second pair is going to be just for music im thinking, and i keep my HD558s for my desktop where i do all my gaming and voice chatting and so on. With that said here are some examples of the music i listen too:

Spoiler

Coheed and Cambria:

Area 11:

Failiure:

Gorillaz:

Seuss Mace:

Halbeard:

Thanks for your suggestions!

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Well what do you feel like you want more or less of on your headphone? Do you feel you want something like a closed back? Nothing wrong with rocking multiple headphones basically what I do.

im not sure if i want open or closed, whatever has a nice sound signature for mainly metal and some rap/hiphop :) im not very good at audio really, i just know i really enjoy the HD558s i have but they dont make them anymore and even if they did i want to try something a little diffrent im thinking?

not that any of that answers your question though xD

why not some IEMs? tin t2 would sound far better than other closed back headphones for your price point

because IEMs fall out of my ears. the only buds i have gotten to sort of stay in my ears are my bluetooth ones. i have tried lots of tips and a bunch of diffrent ones, they all fall out very quick

The Audio-Technica ATH-M20x are my second pair of headphones that I use for this exact reason. Under $100 and they sound great. I have a pair at my desk at work and in my travel bag. Only con is that the cable is obnoxiously long.
