Hey guys, i have been having some issues with my pc the past few weeks. Basically i cant play any games for more than 10 minutes without them crashing on me or freezing.

As an example my csgo can sometimes run for 30 mins or 3 minutes before freezing on me.

But my rainbow six won't let me even get into a game before crashing. i have done a few tests and a recent sfc scan showed my windows had no corrupt files. i have all my drivers upgraded to their latest update. Any suggestions would help me out. i just want to play my games again

specs:

windows 10 (home)  64 bit

intel core i7 9700k

asus Rog RTX 2070

16 gbs of corsair vengeance ram

asus prime z390-a

1 terabyte hdd

512 gb intel m.2 ssd

750W  80 gold certified evga psu

Are you receiving any error messages when games crash? Did you make any changes to the system when the crashes started occurring?

First I would check your CPU & GPU temperatures to make sure they're not overheating. Programs such as HWInfo64 can help show you system temperatures.
Also try reinstalling the latest display drivers for your video card. You may need to run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to clean your old drivers first.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

Could be defective RAM, or a too high frequency kit (over 4000mhz), what speed is it running at?

Quote or Tag people so they know that you've replied.

Rainbow six would say that it is sending a crash report to Ubisoft but csgo didn't warn me after the fact

My temperatures were pretty stable

Highest my gpu got was 70c

I also have the newest drivers available for the 2070

I will run the ddu when i get home.

At this point i think its a hardware problem but I can't find it
