Get a better external speakers like Kliper Pro Media 2.0 or Logitech Z623 for example. Heck, $40 Logitech Z313 is not a bad choice either.

Do you have ASUS Smart Audio installed? There is a built in EQ you can mess about with. But since speakers in Windows notebooks are notorious for generally being crap, there's only so much you can do.

I just check device manager and its Realtek High Definition Audio. Its common speaker for laptop and i think every laptop use Realtek for their audio, if i am not wrong, right ?

And if i use external speakers like Logitech, Kliper and etc, do i need to install a driver in order to make it work ? Or just plug and play ?

Realtek is common for audio driver and ethernet driver

I use ICEsound on my ASUS X540LA laptop. It came with it, and I downloaded from ASUS drivers page for my device.

I also use the EQ within the Realtek software, and play around with the EQ settings along with ICEsound

I managed to get my laptop (Which I gave to my daughter) sounding really good.

sounded like a little raidio, now sounds like a decent sound system for what it is.

Can i use Third-party software/utilities from DTS, Dolby or any others audio software if i use Realtek ? Or only Realtek HD Audio Manager software that can work with Realtek ?
