USB Flash bios on X570

Some X570 Motherboards have a USB Flash Bios facility via a button / USB stick. I understand this only requires only power to the Motherboard. So, in the nornal run, with all equipment on, can one flash a bios without removing the GPU, CPU, Memory etc. or will the Bios update still work?

it'll still work.
