Also this is the biggest waste of money ever for your workload. These choices appear to simply be a result of finding the most expensive components possible rather than the best value for money. typically this is seen when someone chooses parts for a fantasy build that is posted as being a real build they are considering.

NO.

I would go for the i9 9900k.

spend less on those crazy expensive drives, to get a 2080Ti

1200w PSU is useless here and

corsair ML Pro fans are better

Why ? Stop suggesting Intel all the time. If he can make use of the extra cores then the 3900X will stomp all over the 9900K.

I did not know that he do not game that much.....

5% better single-threaded performance or 50% better multithreaded performance? Know which one I'm picking. And let me give you a hint, it isn't the first option. Don't listen to the Intel bearhugger a few posts above. 9900k died quietly in it's sleep on July 7th 2019.

And as for the Strix board, I'd downgrade to one of the lesser boards. The strix x570 boards are a total rip-off. The lower boards can do the same, and if you want something fancy and overkill, the Hero, Master, Ace or Taichi only cost a tad more than the Strix and offer so much more. Something like one of these will do fine with a 3900x:

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/XV6qqs/gigabyte-x570-aorus-elite-wifi-atx-am4-motherboard-x570-aorus-elite-wifi

You also don't need 1200w. A 650w or 750w for extra room will do.

850w is fine yes. I wouldn't get the Hero if I were you because it is unnecessary, the ones I recommended are much better choices for the 3900x. But as I said, if you want to show off and you want to give your build some fancy looks then the Hero is one of many you could pick.

https://www.techspot.com/review/1881-geforce-rtx-2080-super/ tested with an overclocked 9900k and it still barely goes above 400w while gaming.
