ASRock X570 Tachi "BIOS Flashback" vs Gigabyte X570 Aorus PRO Wifi "Q-Flash Plus"

Go to solution Solved by SPARTAN VI,

Yes, basically the same thing:

And this is ASRock's BIOS Flashback:

From what I know...All BIOS flash style features are the same as each other.

Though if you look at AsRocks Cpu Compatibility on their mb page. they suggest almost all of their boards are compatible with 3000 series no matter the BIOS

though I generally do not like AsRock.

Yea I had confusion initially thinking that "Flashback" meant something cool like if you accidentally update your BIOS and it breaks something that worked fine before, the feature would let you revert the the previous version but I just made that up in my head I think :P

This answers my question though. I was conflicted between the 2 boards for a Ryzen 3000 series machine I'm planning to build in the coming months. :)

I've heard from multiple YouTubers that ASRock has the worst VRMs in the B450 series, while MSI has the best.

I've not heard anything about 570 though.

Black Knight-

Ryzen 5 5600, GIGABYTE B550M DS3H, 16Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz, Asrock RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming,

Seasonic Focus GM 750, Samsung EVO 860 EVO SSD M.2, Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe, Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon

Daughter's Rig;

MSI B450 A Pro, Ryzen 5 3600x, 16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz, Silicon Power A55 512GB SSD, Gigabyte RX 5700 Gaming OC, Corsair CX430

I'm not sure. Toms hardware seemed to like the Gigabyte board I mentioned but that's just their opinion I suppose. ?

At the moment I have my eyes set on a Ryzen 3700X with this board possibly.

This looks pretty awesome....

Though I would say the GPU is not price/perf. You can get a Vega 56 at that price.

and I would recommend a 5700xp Aftermarket cooler for 420$ or even a 2070$uper for $500+

also...PSU?

Yea I forgot the PSU but wouldn't *any* be pretty OK? ?

The GPU I'm not married to anything. I'll check out the Vega 56. I'm prob not gonna game much but I'm open to doing some gaming.

Just make sure to get a VEGA 56 with a good 3rd party cooler from one of the AIB's - like PowerColor, Sapphire, Gigabyte, Asus. I'm a big fan of PowerColor Red Devil series myself and am waiting for a Red Devil NAVI 21/23.
