I have recently come along a thread with some concerns regarding the S12II/M12II. By simple logic I would assume that the S12G series have the same issue. Can anyone confirm it?

I bought it in Late 2014, it still has 3 months of warranty.

Also, since I'm already planning on replacing the unit, I'm considering the Seasonic Prime Ultra 550W Gold or Platinum (they have 15 bucks difference here in Hungary), do the cables of these PSUs will be sufficient length in my Phanteks Enthoo Pro TG case?

You can find my config on my profile (base is 8600K and 1660Ti).

There have been no reports of problems with the S12G - it's not the same platform as the S12II and M12II - the S12G is using a non-modular X-series platform and is MUCH higher quality. I have one myself and have never had issues with it - no real need to replace it imo but your call.

I have heard both good things and bad things about SeaSonic.  But you can't really trust amazon reviewers.  They are a small portion of people, and you can't trust it.  Some guy said about the SeaSonic that is died on him after 2 months.  Then he got another one and that one die within a year or so.  But this is a small portion of people.  As 5x5 notied to us they have fixed some issues with their previous line of PSUs and what not.

I mean, Amazon reviews are piratically the worst source of information - you can find negative reviews about everything and in a lot of cases, it's usually user error - if someone had 3 high end SS PSUs die on him, I'm willing to be he fucked up somehow.

That being said, the SeaSonic Focus platform was a flop. Hopefully they learn from that mistake.

Köszi a választ!

Illetve ahogy fentebb is írtam, SS Prime Ultra Gold/Platinum (besorolás nem tudom mennyit számít anyagilag hosszútávon) 550-es, Alzánál 12 év garit adnak. A 650-es RMX is kiszemelt, 34k-ért.

A kábelhosszakat itt találod: https://images10.newegg.com/UploadFilesForNewegg/itemintelligence/Corsair/00153287_specs14453431606451448509906690.pdf

It is much higher quality, but it doesn't use the X series platform - it uses the G series platform.

Thank you! I did not know that. I will be careful to avoid it in the future.

In a nutshell: I just recommended Bitfenix WhisperM, because, those are cheaper than SeaSonic Focus Plus Gold or Corsair RMX units, though most retailers don't provide the seven year warranty period of the manufacturer.

The OP mentioned, that probably he'll pick a Corsair RM650X. I can only support this idea, as the unit comes with 10 years warranty from Alza, and the postage is FREE. And The PSU would be suitable for the OP, as, it has very loong power cables. And the Corsair units priced well ~ 103 euros with shipping for the 650w version.

I guess that should be all. :) Sorry again. Being rude was not my intention.
