Its fine that i7 2600k will work okay with a 1660ti just keep the 8 gb ddr 3 and do a full upgrade if the next gen gpus etc comes around but for this gen u still should be fine

Oh right. And if the ram does end up bottlenecking, can I just get more?

Even some higher end notebooks still come with only 8gb ram ^^ for you its not the size of the ram is the speed cause its only ddr3 and u cant upgrade that but i am pretty sure if its only a 1660ti it will not be a Prob i did run a i7 4790k with ddr3 ram and a 1080 without prob
