Gtx 1060 6gb or rx 570 8gb

I have a rx 570 8gb but I have a choice of swapping it with a 1060 6gb should i

no reason to change it. Though 1060 6gb is a tad faster, will give you more frames, but the difference is not vast.

 

I would not bother with the swap.

if you'd upgrade, I'd aim for a 1660Ti at least. Or custom RX5700 even.  But for the moment, you would not benefit too much from a 1060.

 

If it has more warranty, and runs cooler, then perhaps. What exact model was offered for you?

Eh, that makes the situation a bit different

IF you can swap them, do it.
Armor RX570 is noisy, runs hot. The 1060 Gaming X has a much better cooling, quieter fans, and slight performance edge. If it does not cost anything, go for it.

Sound choice. You will not regret it. 

 

It would have been a totally different case, if your RX570 was a sapphire Nitro+, and the 1060 is some basic model. But, with RX570 armor vs. gtx Gaming X, it's truly an upgrade. You'll save some energy& heat, and will have a quieter system. And a few more FPS ~ 10%...
