Posted August 24, 2019 Samsung C27HG70 $330 MSI MAG271CQR $411 MSI MPG27CQ $442 AOC AG273QCX $359 After hours of research I've narrowed my selection to these. Which is better? Competitive titles and singleplayers (mostly RPGs). Recommendations are welcome but I live in Europe so my options are limited (no Nixeus for example, unfortunately) Link to comment https://linustechtips.com/topic/1097340-help-me-choose-27-1440p144hz-1ms-curved-monitor/ Share on other sites
 Posted August 24, 2019 I don't know if this is still true for the MAG271CQR but the MAG27CQ has the same panel as the C27HG70, it's most likely either going to have the same panel likely a similar panel. I think the MPG27CQ is just a MAG27CQ with RGB and a huge stand. The AOC seems to use a 27" Samsung 1800r VA panel with a custom backlight, so uhh I think you've picked out 4 of the exact same monitors in a way. The MAG271CQR would be the newest model but if any are listed as G-Sync compatible, I'd pick that. Otherwise at those prices I'd pick either the Samsung or the AOC. I'm really happy with my MAG27CQ, I've had VA monitors for the last 10 years so when I picked up a cheap 144hz TN I was sorely disappointed and upgraded to the MAG27CQ within a year. The colors are just so much better than a TN and 1440p144 at 27" curved while sitting up close is really nice. Is there any notable difference between the MAG27CQ and the MAG271CQR? No idea, it could have an entirely different panel since Samsung does make a CFG73 now. I tried to figure that out a while back but most people and reviewers don't seem very interested in knowing what panel is inside their monitor for some reason. I think most reviewers just considered it to be a refresh of the MAG27CQ.
