Lian Li pc-o11 Dynamic - Need help with 6 fans placement (No radiator)

Hi, so I have a great secondhand deal on a Lian Li pc-o11 dynamic with 6 Lian Li 120mm rgb fans with an remote, that's Way under what it would cost me to just buy the Lian Li pc-o11 dynamic Air case.

I'm not going to use water cooling, the build will be strictly air cooled, so I have been trying to find others that have made build like this, but I've been unable to. I want to place the fans so it matches the cooling performance of the

Lian Li pc-o11 Air (without dustfilters) as much as possible, or even surpass it.

So how do you guys think that I should place them? 2 side, 2 bottom, 2 top? 3 side, 1 bottom, 2 top? 3 side, 2 bottom, 1 top? Should any of them be used as exhaust fans? Or perhaps you got an better idea for the order they should be in?

The best thing of course would be if someone has done this before and done testing with it and made a youtube video or an article somewhere with some cooling numbers, to avoid too much guessing, since the airflow in the case could get messy and I could end up with even worse performance, if the fans aren't placed right. I have already seen videos from youtubers that are friends of LTT with 3 or 9 fans, the ladder with 3 of them being fans from a radiator. But if someone here knows of one/some that have already done my scenario here, then please link it for me.

Hope you guys can help! :)

Both the dynamic and air cases are compared throughout the video, though they didn't test every single possible configuration of 6 or 9 fans for both cases, still the best comparison and really all the info you need since they specifically tested air cooled cpu and gpu only.

CPU: AMD Sempron 2400+ / MOBO: Abit NF7-S2G / GPU: WinFast A180BT 64MB / RAM: Mushkin DDR333 256MBx2 / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 120GB

That's the main video that I've been watching and it doesn't provide the info that I need, since it doesn't show the added performance with more fans, after putting 3 in the side and what those benefits are.

That's unlikely but I'd go with 3 side intakes and 3 top exhaust. The bottom fans don't seem to do much looking at GamersNexus' results.

What would you say to 3 side, one bottom pointing at where the GPU chip actually is on the graphics card, one top as exhaust but at as far back as possible so it doesn't suck cold air about from the CPU and 1 exhaust in the middle so it doesn't just steal the air that the top one would. Or perhaps put the top on directly over the CPU and only have the back one be exhaust?

You could try it out and see. The gap below the case isn't very large so it might not be worth using the bottom as an intake unless the case is elevated.

How did the project go? I’m planning on doing the exact same thing, air cooled O11D.

Best temps most likely after cutting the bottom intakes open with an angle grinder. I would pick Jonsbo U5 over o11d any day for aircooled build if the Jonsbo case is available.

I ended up getting AIO liquid cooler Corsair 115i Platinum RGB, for my CPU, because a Noctua nh d15 or a be quiet! Dark Rock PRO 4 , doesn't fit inside inside the case (which I learned the hard way. My own fault ofcourse).

I then started with 3 Lian li RGB fans on the side and 3 at the buttom, but for some reason, all the fans just speeded up to max rpm, for some reason. Since the only way to control those Liam li fans, is through a remote and not software, the only way I for them to stop, was to unplug the 3 button fans. But they didn't really do a difference anyway. Only add fans in the buttom for looks, that's it.

Also the fans in the buttom might even mess up the airflow, since the case is designed for the intake fans on the side, to blow air through the case and out the back.

I have as yet not included a 80mm as a exhaust in the back (the largest size that will fit), but I am thinking about.
