Having issues with my microphone on Windows 10

Basically, my PC won't pick up any of my own microphone inputs, through discord, through games, nothing. If I plug my gaming headset in, I can hear audio fine from YouTube videos, video games, etc. If I'm in a Discord chat, I can hear the other people speak, but I can't hear people speak through in-game channels like in Rainbow Six Seige. 

 

I've bought new headphones, and it didnt solve the issue, I've made sure my win10 privacy settings allowed microphone usage, and I tried to reinstall my audio drivers, but It does seem to work properly. When I tried to install related drivers, the install wizard just kept looping to the beginning of the set up after I restarted my computer to finish the install. 

 

Help please!

Have you tried setting that specific mic default audio device?
