I3 9100F (80€) v Ryzen 5 2600 (125€)

Hey,

 

I m building a new pc, if I choose 9100F I can spend 45€ more on GPU so I would get probably GTX 1660 , but if I choose to go with R5 I’d go with RX 570.

 

I’m not much for upgrading the system ,after i finish my build.I want it to last like 3-5 yrs( if it’s possible even)

 

I will use it mostly for FPS games, occasionally editing videos for school.

 

Maybe I should go totally different way with CPUs. I don’t know.

Look for an R5 1600 - it'll be cheaper and still vastly superior to the i3 and also allow you to get a 1660.

 

The i3 makes no sense at all - it's a waste of money in 2019

If there's any way for you to save up and afford the R5 2600 + GTX 1660 combo that'd be the best experience possible since you want this to last so much.

The i3 9100F has only 4 cores. Basically an i3 8100 without the integrated GPU. That thing bottlenecks an RX 560 4GB (a friend of mine had the combo), not to mention an GTX 1660. The 1660 would perform worse than an RX 570 if paired with the weak i3.

It's either i5 (9400f), or Ryzen 5. In your case, the R5 2600 paired with the RX 570.

You would go with R5 2600 or with i5 9400F , Is there significant difference

What would u go with , Intel or AMD? There is in my case 25€ difference

I did go with AMD. Better for future upgrades.

Definitely you should go for Ryzen.

You're getting extra 2 core and 8 threads which you make you're editing time faster and AMD comes with pretty good cooler which will save the cost of after market cooler. Also, AMD's motherboards are cheap.
