This is awesome. Yes if you have an account please try running folding before the start of the event not only could you get closer to activating your QRB but you get to iron out any issues you might have and optimize your setup for your computer. Also as a bonus it makes stat tracking much easier for us as your account wont pull up stats until you have returned a WU.

Be sure to check out the tips and tricks post to help optimize your setup for whatever you do if you want it folding all the time or just some of the time to leave some cpu threads open for os and gpus or whatever it is. A lot of useful information here.

Should be some shout outs this week but signups close as soon as the event starts with no exceptions this time. Not that people shouldn't fold on their own anyways but it wont be part of the event.

At its peak Curecoin was doing about 60 billion points per month.

Last year we came close to out-producing EVGA who were, if memory serves, were a little over 200MPPD.

last year we averaged 205m PPD for the month overall.

It is a 'PNY GeForce RTX 2060 6GB XLR8 Gaming OC'

 

Will have to wait for it to get here as it was a reserve in store kinda deal. should it it by Thursday.

Getting shout-out on WAN show is good. But imagine getting shout-out on LTT's next video or Techquickie or even TechLinked... That would surely bring a lot more folders. 

 

As far as I remember, we did get one article on TechLinked during August or early September, but one more would mean a lot I think especially a few days before event. And it would also be a reminder for those that do not use forum but want to help.

So long as you are folding for the team and signed up for the event we have access to all of the stats through stanford as well as EOC.

           When I first started folding 3-4ish years ago, I folded for them on every computer I could get my hands on. Once I realized that my own computational power was insufficient, I enlisted my friends, the only people I knew who had GPUs. When that wasn't enough, I used the incredible power of the school computer lab. I became notorious during lab days for going around the entire computer lab and setting up NaCl clients on each of the computers while staying as far away from the teacher as possible. I actually managed to make a few curecoins, long before the first BTC price hike. After the hike, I traded them for BTC, ending up with some $15 in crypto that I immediately invested into some random coin to lose it all. 

 

Right before the great bitcoin price hike, I bought an RX 580 for $279, folded for them at $4/day for 4 days, then sold it for $439. Good times.

Right, that's the dual-fan card, so they're different after all.

 

I grabbed the single fan card for a new system I'm building. It gets really toasty.
