LTT Official Folding Month 2019!!!

Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

Alright guys, the time for locking this thread has come, can you all please use the Folding Community Board for all further talk.

Thank you all again for participating in the event.

Once the sheet is cleaned up I will edit this post to add the link to the spreadsheet.

@TVwazhere Can you please lock this thread for me.

I was playing around with my virtual machines yesterday and I was switching GPUs from one VM to another and now FAH client wont recognise my 1070 even though it's recognised just fine by the VM and Windows. When I noticed this morning that the GPU isn't folding I tried assigning a specific index, but it didn't help. After that I uninstalled the whole client with data and reinstalled. Didn't help either.

Any idea what I should do? It's bad enough my secondary VM won't even start with a GPU passthrough now I've f* up my primary VM too... :D

Gorgon, if I haven't posted an update by 10am the following day can you post the stats. @leadeater if this is the case feel free to mark the stats as the best answer

Oh... I see how it is. First you ignore me in your blog post and now you ignore me again here. :P

I've updated the moderator message up top as well now that entries to the contest have closed and included link to the LTT official giveaway. @Gorgon @GOTSpectrum @palespartan Is there any information that needs to be added to it that will stay pinned at the top? I need to keep it brief or it ends up taking up too much space (especially with the marked as solved messages as well) so I can't guarantee I'll be able to add it, but I'll see what I can do.

Junkitron might join the fun soon; with a 7850K and a 1050Ti it doesn't have much to bring to bear compared to the Planet Smasher, but it'll certainly keep me always online in case I decide to do some more upgrades to the Planet Smasher this week...depending on how big my bonus is tomorrow~

Don't ? talk ?if ? ya ? ain't ? packin ? 200mm?

(120mm is good, I just like the airflow to noise ratio of the bigger fans)

I don't have any 200mm fans, but I have 8 - 140mm , 2 - 120 , 2 - 135mm , and whatever the fans are on the GPU's.   Plus 13,000 BTU window A/C.

is that with all the fans running locked to 100%? If so, that's kinda high imo :/

even if it's the in the top slot.

pull the 1080 out, set up the lights, save, put the 1080 back in.

Fans are auto on the graphics cards (1080 at 68% on 77"C now, 2060 at 52% at 70"C now), The chassis fans are about 60%

I will try taking the 1080 out one day and changing the lights that way, Will also look into maybe a new version or something,

That's either an Evolv X or a P600s... Hard to tell, nut I'm leaning towards Evolv X based on the top panel (I can see side vents)

New setup looks good!

Thanks. it's a Phanteks Evolv X in galaxy Silver. so good guess.

Nope it works in windows.

Go to C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\NVSMI hold shift right click and open on PowerShell (tho I'm sure using cmd as admin would work too maybe even w/o admin)

and input this line for multi gpu and more info (found it on a youtube video yesterday, my 640 give not supported for everything)

.\nvidia-smi --query-gpu=index,timestamp,power.draw,clocks.sm,clocks.mem,clocks.gr --format=csv -l 1

or use the line in the topic quoted like so:

.\nvidia-smi -i 0 -l 1 --format=csv,noheader --query-gpu=temperature.gpu,power.draw,clocks.current.sm,fan.speed

And now I noticed it is mentioned in the topic too ?
