Salvaged Parts Rig

tigery0

Hello,

I am looking to build a computer off these salvaged parts I got. I need some help on if I should replace anything and what new parts to add.

Here are the parts that I salvaged:

Edit: I have the stock cooler that came with the CPU. To clarify, I am looking for suggestions on parts to complete the build/replace the other parts.

Thank you!

Depends what you want out of it

I would get the cheapest ATX case you can find, maybe something free off local classifieds if you can find it, get a cheap SSD- something like this

GPU really depends on what you're doing though

Get a used rx570/580 from eBay. Rx570s go for around $70-90 a pop and rx580s go for around $100.

Get a cheapo case with a transparent side panel.

For storage device, get a 500gb ssd. They are pretty cheap these days.

Also get a decent cooler if you haven't got one because that processor runs pretty hot.

Also, I'll replace that PSU.

I'll list down the pcpp list...

Purely for gaming? What are you using this machine for?

Why the two different brands of RAM?

CPU: Sempron 2500+ / P4 2.8E / P4 2.6C / A64 x2 4000+ / E6420 / E8500 / i5-3470 / i7-3770
GPU: TNT2 M64 / Radeon 9000 / MX 440-SE / 7300GT / Radeon 4670 / GTS 250 / Radeon 7950 / 660 Ti

I work as an IT intern and these were going to be thrown away. The parts are better than my gaming PC currently so I wanted an upgrade. Mostly gaming but will need it on the side for coding/programming.
