Samsung S9 unusual battery usage?

another_member

Hi all,

Is this battery usage normal for a Samsung S9? Screen resolution was HD+ (lowest) power saving mode was on medium, BT and GPS off.

Thanks,

How was chrome active for half a day in the background???!

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

What's the percentage of the battery and how long has it been on battery?

All this is telling me is 48.6% of the battery's current discharge was due to Chrome.

Some web page doing something it's not supposed to (poor JavaScript, certain ads, cryptomining, etc) and for whatever reason, Chrome isn't suspending it properly.

That was my assumption. OP should reset their Browser.

By that I mean clear storage in the app settings, and/or disable and reenable the app, to clarify.

Firefox has the same problem on my S9+.  I have to manually quit the browser every time or it'll drain the battery.
