Ryzen really is the better option.

But, why not try the B365 Chipset?

If you are going mATX, pick the Phantom Gaming 4 mATX from ASRock, and if you need ATX, get the ATX version.

B365 and z390 motherboards work out of the box with 9th gen Intel, and h310, h370, B360, and z370 will all work with an update. Just stick with the stock cooler.

new ryzen processors are coming very soon, when they drop that i5 will probably come a lot cheaper to compete

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k (won) - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Kill Trident Z RGB - Force MP500 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G2 650W - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Linux Proliant ML150 G6:

Dual Xeon X5560 - 24GB ECC DDR3 - GTX 750 TI - old Seagate 1.5TB HDD - Dark moded Ubuntu (and Win7, cuz why not)

For motherboards, an AsRock B365 Pro 4 can be had for under $100. Cooler wise, stock cooler will allow your system to turbo to whatever is stated on the box no problem. If you really want an aftermarket one just for the looks, get a CM Hyper 212 for 30 bucks or so.
