Why is my RAM speed is slower than advertised?

I have DDR4 3200Mhz and when I went to task manager to check something, I noticed that my RAM speed was only 2666Mhz. Is it normal?

That's probably what your board defaulted to. See if you can open up BIOS and change the speed.

Use CPU-Z, far more accurate than say Task Manager or Speccy or even HWmonitor (though I dont think HWmonitor can read these kind of things)

I've seen myself and other claiming task manger reporting wrong speeds after updating to 1903. Not that it was ever accurate, task manager must have been further broken by this. CPU-Z has never failed me to report the correct speed though.
