Subwoofer doesn't connect to reciever

Hello Guys

My Subwoofer has a different input then my reciever!

Is there something which can connect the two?

If no one responds it get's burried and i can't buy any new stuff, before the store closes

It's a Denon AVR-X1400H!

Yes i do, but i just bought a new reciever and going to hook up my two new T50's tomorrow. 

Would like to use the subwoofer for my new 5.1 setup!

If they work like they look like they are supposed to work, I would think so.  Never used something like that.

 

Btw, that AVR has assignable Surround Channels, so you could wire the Sub into one of them and change it in the system setup it looks like.

Edit:  Save up for a better subwoofer anyway too.

No, that looks to be an active crossover network for a subwoofer. you need a power amp as the receiver handles all the crossover shenanigans

Btw, GG on getting a denon AVR, i used to run the denon avc - x8500H when i ran 15.2.5, they make good stuff.

Why wouldn't using one of the Surround channels and re-assigning it in the System not work?  It's a powered channel, no?

It could, it might be worth a try. But the chanels arent really designed to output tonnes of power in low octaves, so its a bit risky if the transistors arent up too it.

I'd argue that sub isn't going to need much power tho, with it's 45w rating. Worth a shot before buying an amp.  If you're going to spend money, buy a decent active sub.

True, im used to big subs lol. Tbf it would probably use under 20W before starting to distort and have cone breakup and what not.

Sort of, you can choose which extra 2 channels you have on top of a 5.1 system, but not reroute the LFE (sub channel) to a different output, from what I can see.

Came from two SVS SB 1000's, probably getting a pair of rel's or two svs SB4000's, not too sure.
