20 Gbps Thunderbolt Ethernet Adapaters

Go to solution Solved by samcool55,

Hi, I have an Intel NUC and a Desktop that are both connected to my router by ethernet.   I also attached a Thunderbolt 3 cable between my NUC and Desktop.   Windows 10  will then discover 20 Gbps "Thunderbolt Ethernet' adapters on each device.   I assigned both Thunderbolt Ethernet adapters each an IP that are in the same subnet.    I then can ping each other to verify they can communicate with each other.

My question is, how can I tell my NUC or desktop to send large files like Movies or copies of VMs over to each other using only the Thunderbolt adapter and not the regular ethernet adapter.   If anyone can point me in the correct direction. I would be very appreciated.  Thank you!

David
