8700k Delid Maintenance

Go to solution Solved by Ebony Falcon,

It’s liquid metal! It won’t set or if it did it would act like solder which is a god thing

it’s just a one time job then forget about it

I was planning on getting my 8700k de lidded / resealed with thermal grizzly conductonaut but was curious if I would have to re apply the liquid metal over time or is it something that you can do once and then forget about it?

MSI Prestige 15

i5 10210u - 8GB DDR4 2666MHz - GTX 1650 Max-Q - 500GB SSD

Hinges still intact!

I’d only do it again if it were every a problem. As in you knew the temp change was in fact the metal and not the cooling system.
