F@H and BOINC Badge Request Thread [Last Update: 2024-APR-13]

Note that for F@H and BOINC, the points that you've earned must be for the LTT team. For example: If you have 20 million points for the default F@H team and 5 million points for LTT, we cannot award you a Bronze Contributor badge. Additionally, badges supersede each other meaning when you hit 25 million points, your Contributor Badge becomes a Bronze Badge, you only get one and they do not stack on your profile. Badges for different disciplines such as Folding, BOINC, and Event participations will show your highest rank in each category. 

 

Posts requesting badges will be hidden when the badge is assigned. Check your profile to see if you have the badge before reposting.

Definitely we need some new badges for the hard stuff 5 / 10 / 25 / 50 / 100 billion :)

 

Like :Vibranium, Kryptonite, Adamantium  or if we go "real stuff" Titanium, Rhodium or Iridium :)

Personally I felt that diamond should have been higher (2.5/5B) but should the need arise, Titanium gets my vote for the next badge level!

From what FloGer mentioned, it looks like those badges were part of a "We're sorry you were having technical issues with the forum, take this badge while we fix it"

 

All of these badges are super old though, new ones haven't been created in a long time it appears

Fairly sure those badges were new office fund rewards.

 

One tier had a badge created by Linus and Luke.

One thing for sure that 2060 Super is a bit faster for Folding than the 5700 XT, AND it ran so mush cooler! (Not even talking about the noise level 😐)

 

I'll water cool the 5700 XT next week hopefully it will run cooler AND quieter :

This is with the fan nearly to the max 94% : (jonction temp is 90° 😬 reach 108° when at 65%)

I'm getting on average :

CPU 3900X  @ 250k + 5700XT  @ 1.2 mil + 2060S  @ 1.65 mil 

About 3+ mil ppd for that system I also have for the moment a extra +-200k from a server (Xeon E-2288G)

Folding event badges are handled internally. They are not requested in any situation for any event. 

 

If the person in question was due an event badge for participating in one of the 'Folding Month' events; which is held towards the end of the year; the badge would have already been awarded.

I'll water cool the 5700 XT next week hopefully it will run cooler AND quieter :

on my rtx 2070 i use core+100 and mem +100 and on my vega64 i use core +85 both runing save and faultless even on longtime or while gaming. Fans are auto and noise aint too high. And yes the Nvidia is 20° under the Vega producing less noise but as long as it isnt too loud for my wife both are at ok noiselevel.

Huh. That's weird. The badge was issued a while ago too.

Either the badge requirements were different (lower) when it was issued and you earned the badge at the lower requirement, or it was issued by mistake instead of one of the other badges and no-one noticed.

Oh well, it's correct now so all works out in the end 🙂 congrats on 100mill btw.

i remember pming whaler about it and moving from a silver to a gold badge at like 25mil or smthn. too bad since i really thought i was gonna upgrade my badge LOL.

Correct. We can only award the Bronze badge for the 1 million points for the LTT, and not the gold badge for your User total contribution of over 160 million across various teams.
