- SOLVED- Resolution stuck at 3840x1080 is supposed to be 5120x1400

hei, just got the 49" QLED Curved Gaming Monitor CRG9 from samsung. "LC49RG90SSUXEN".

 

and i can't get the resolution to go beyond 3840x1080, nor can i raise it from 60hz to 120hz. 

 

i tried custom resolution, reinstalled gpu drivers and installed a driver from samsung. and updated win10.

 

the screen is connected to a 1080Ti, with DP. 

 

cant find any thing online please help, and sorry if there is some bad english in here:D

I know im gonna have a lot of stick over this because you shouldnt need to but have u tried installing the monitor driver??

fixed it. the dp cable was to long 2.5m, so was the other one i tried to  use to check if the cable was broken.:D

a 2.5m cable shouldnt be anywhere near to long.

2.5m is fine, but needs to be a high quality one. We've seen this a lot.
