Buying a New Monitor: Where to Start?

Heya! I'm in the market for a new monitor, but I'm really not sure where to start.

I'm looking for something larger than my current ASUS VS229 with good color accuracy, good refresh rate and response time for the best bang for the buck, preferably with g-sync for my RTX 2070. That being said, I don't really know what to be looking for in monitors (least of all color accuracy).

Any suggestions or pointers for what I should be looking for?

It's better if you could specify what specific resolution and refresh rate you'd like. 90Hz could already be plenty but you might want to go up to 144Hz
