Any Skyrim SE modders out there? (I need help!)

I think I've fixed all my mod conflicts... But why does my SSE still crash? An error also happens when I try to create a bash patch... Please note that I also ESL-ifyed almost all of the mods that SSEdit marked as okay to ESL-ify (the [FE ones)... Here is my mod list:

Have you tried uninstalling immersive jewelry?  All the error messages look to be tied to that.  Are you using a mod manager?  It might help sort out any load order or dependency issues.

It isn't the problem per se since it runs fine I guess. Yes I'm using MO2 and I have also used Loot. Smash patch seems fine though

You have mods the will randomly CTD the game.

 

Most random CTDs are caused by spawning mods.

These are the CTD that are usually not there after a reload.

They can also last for 3 game days if the NPC that is causing it is stationary(stuck). These types of CTDs don't show up in the papyrus logs unless there is a perk or race conflict. These CTDs can trap you indoors and in the open it is best to go the other way or fast travel over them.

 

Here are the mods the cause spawning CTDs that I know of in order of their severity.

 

WARZONES.                         

Skyrim Immersive Creatures.    Switch off random spawns in the MCM.

Populated Skyrim Legendary.   I use only forts and dungeons to minimize CTDs.

I use them all except WARZONES and MoreBanditCamps.  I did use both of them in LE for about a year.  

NPCs take up most of the resources in Skyrim. One too many in a cell that becomes aware of you and CTD.

To get rid of 50% of my CTDs I stopped having large battles(40+ NPCs) in the game world and took them underground by using mods created by the author of  Immersive Wenches.  

 

Here are the mods the cause perk CTDs in order of their severity.

 

Ordinator.   Some of the perks conflict with Skyrim Immersive Creatures and other mods that have magic NPCs. These will show up in a Papyrus logs.

                     I am not using it now because I would have to load up LE to see what perks I can use. My SE & LE games are very similar.

daymoyl.      I love and hate this mod. It runs perfectly on a very powerful PC but will CTD like mad on a weak one. If you don't get CTDs in bleedout or animation glitches you                          are doing something right(not really a perk mod).

 

 

CTDs caused by weather mods.

The CTDs are in specific locations. The one that CTDs the most is on the road from Whiterun to Riverwood, just before the curves in the road.

 

Vivid Weathers.

Wet and Cold.

 

These are resource CTDs. If you have a GTX 1080 ti or better they don't exist.

 

The biggest problem with SE is vram. If it wants it and you don't have it CTD.

 

I use Skyrim Performance Monitor to see if a CTD corresponds with a spike in the graph. It gives you info on i/o as well as GPU and CPU. That can be important with modded Bethesda games. 

 

 

Don't give up on your game.

 

In 2016 my heavily modded Skyrim LE had too many CTDs and any mod I added or updated usually caused 3 way conflicts. Instead of just deleting it I copied the entire folder along with the saves and Appdata files on to a USB HD. In 2018 I updated to a i7 8700k and a GTX 1080 ti. For nostalgia I installed the game off Steam and copies the files I saved over it. It took 2 weeks to get my first CTD. At 4k the game is wonder and with its heavy ENB even the 2080 ti struggles to keep it at 60fps.

Haven't experienced any CTDs hehe. Managed to fix it now. It was simply knock. I managed to Smash all the ESPs and ignore the ESLs and ESP-Ls

Which is nice hehe. I play well now. Been experiencing some small frame drops, but I believe it's mostly a graphical issue. Hehe. Will lower from ultra to high maybe.

At 4k I am doing fine with a RTX 2080 ti. 

I usually control graphic performance with the amount of depth of field I use in ENB and the amount of anti analysing I use in the Nvidia control panel. When I used a GTX 1080 ti I had no anti analysing on while playing at 4k but added it for screenshots. I am still playing around with how much depth of field I can use before I drop below 60fps.

 

I find that the frame drops are usually CPU or i/o. GPU issues more likely cause stutter. 

I take extreme measures to combat this. My i7 8086k with an all core overclock of 5ghz will only drop the frames to 60 so with vsync on I don't feel them at all. With an i7 6700k the drops were in the 40s and with a i7 2600k the drops were in the 30s. 

For i/o my SATA SSDs did fine for a while but I started to get slight load-in pauses around Whiterun on older saves. I bought a 2tb 970 EVO and that fixed the problem. 

 

With Skyrim LE and SE running good now Fallout 4 is acting up with CTDs on long game pauses. It seems to be always something.

I only use 1k textures at best and ultra graphics and that setup is already enough for me. My 1080 6gb is good enough anyways. What settings do you suggest? Might overclock my ryzen a bit for performance.

If you are running at 1080p or 1440p you need anti analysing and without ENB or Reshade you can't control depth of field. 

 

If you have not already, drop shadow quality and distance to medium and godrays to low. Screen space ambient occlusion causes the ugly shadows on characters so you can get rid of that as well. I also don't use lens flare.

Good notes. Will do that. I just set it on the ultra preset and leave it as is but guess I'll do some tweaking hehe. 

Edit: looks like Godrays do affect performance... Says other forums. Shadows too. But I'm keeping the SSAO I guess. Do you have any other tweaks that might help? What about the 64 bit target render thingy? @jones177
