I've got my PC on my desk, and all heat is exhausted out the back and top. So no problems with heat personally.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

Peripherals - Corsair K70 Lux RGB | Corsair Scimitar RGB | Audio-technica ATH M50X + Antlion Modmic 5 |

CPU/GPU history: Athlon 6000+/HD4850 > i7 2600k/GTX 580, R9 390, R9 Fury > i7 7700K/R9 Fury, 1080TI > Ryzen 1700/1080TI > i7 9700K/1080TI.

r7 1700 +cm212 (60C )/ msi gtx970(77C), both OC . they are cooled well, that means heat is effectively transferred to room~~~   lol

Since you have an open test bench you don't have to face the exhaust towards you, just turn the fans around. Unless you're using a proprietary cooler with the fans built into it.

Mine vents into about 1 cubic foot of space. Heat rises as the top is open, put your hand above the space and you can feel the heat!

air is all drawn from under or about 1.5 feet from the heat at the front of the case where it’s cool.

All my heat gets exhausted behind my monitor and above the case.

It's not enough to cause any problems, though.

keep in mind your pc heating the area around it is actually kind of a good thing... means your coolers are working.

But yeah.. getting rid of the heat in the room can be a problem. If you have a ceiling fan, use it. Should help at least a little by moving all the air in the room around
