Do I need a mounting plate for my waterblock?

I don't have a mounting plate for my waterblock. Is it needed? Will there be any increase in temperature if I dont put one on?

What block? Is it an AIO? Did you get it new or used?

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

It's an EKWB supreme LTX CSQ. I got it used. Would a 3d-printed mounting plate work?

Contact EKWB support about getting a replacement if you can't find the mounting plate when you do another once over of the entire box. You can also try contacting the seller about it. A 3D printer backplate might work but is probably a bad idea, plastics get soft when warm and there is going to be quite a bit of force on it at all times
