4k monitor stuck @ 60hz and Im out of options

Turtle Rig

I remember when Avatar first came out.  We bought a LG 240hz TV and there was no motion blur or soap opera effect, the creatures wings were flowing smoothly and it was life like and so amazing.  For some reason we took back the TV.  Eventually 4k 60hz TVs came out along with 4k monitors 60hz.  I jumped on the POS Samsung 28" 4k non led in 2014 first one they made.  Used it for couple years it was 1ms so gaming wasn't bad, I take that back, it sucked sh*T compared to my old Sony CRT FW900.  Years passed then I got this AOC monitor in my signature.  I can accept its VA and colors blow balls, but what is irritating me more is the stupid 60hz its on.  The monitor is huge and I have no space for dual monitor and don't care to go dual I rather have 1 monitor and a good one.  I have no options for 40" 4k Curved 120hz or 144hz or 165hz or 240hz.  I have my TV also in signature and its 120 motion rate.  When I view youtube videos on it they are soo smooth and life like.  I understand the TV is still 60hz but the motion rate tech makes it sorta like a 120hz.  Netflix or youtube like I said runs soo much smoother and life like compared to this POS 60hz in front of me to the point I don't wanna watch youtube videos on it.  Ill just use the TV and deal with the stupid ads.  The TV is pretty smooth unless there is fast action then it get motion blur and you miss frames.  This is where 240 motion rate would kick in I guess.

There is a WASABI MANGO flat screen 4k 43" 120hz.  Problem is its flat, and I can't stand flat after going curved there is just no going back.  I have zero options.  I don't want a gaming monitor.  I rather have 4k for my desktop and 1440p for my gaming without borders.  Why is it soo hard to make a 40" Curved 4k 120hz monitor.  Better yet why not 165hz or 240hz so sh*T will be flawless in action scenes.  This TV and monitor technology is moving in slow motion.  It has been 5 years since I got my first 4k Sammy and still 4k is at 60hz with motion rate or whatever else LG calls it or other companies.  Or better yet why not make PC monitors with Motion Rate or whatever the company wants to call it ?  They don't have the technology to do this on a small screen but on a big screen they can put 4k 60hz @ 240 motion rate.  I mean fine they cant make 4k tv's past 60hz but fact the motion rate on my tv shows amazing improvement over 60hz.  So fluid and smooth.  Also BTW I can notice a difference in my Sonar Platinum using it on the TV and on monitor.  The bar moves soo smoothly and not jerky.  So I need high refresh for desktop as well plus netflix and utube, but I have no choices unless I buy a gaming monitor thats 27" and its 3440x1440 crummy resolution which I can't stand or use after being on 4k for 5 years.  Plus if you don't use that resolution in games you get black borders.  I could care less about wide screen at first I was excited about the new Samsung 49" 5120x1440 120hz HDR 1000nits but then I realized I would have black borders a shorter vertical size and a crummy 1440p.  Plus 5120res is no joke you would need a TI in SLI and Im not about to spend 3000 dollars for dat sh*T.  So wtf I need a TV or monitor expert to reply.  This isn't meant to be a rant but it ended up being one.  Anyone else in the same boat ?  My final thoughts are, why do gaming monitors have high refresh rates, don't people realize even a regular monitor with high refresh rate is huge difference in how smooth the mouse moves, videos and dragging windows and using a DAW or Premiere with the bar moving smoothly.  I would buy that WASABI MANGO but its not curved so fak.  Im almost at a point to buy a TV and use it as a monitor, but I know for fact that is not a good idea as I have gone close to my TV and the colors are off and its not quality pitch dots and hurts my eyes.  I swear I will blow 2000 dollars if they just made a 40" 4k Curved @ 120hz or 144hz or 165hz.  Sighs.  Thoughts are welcome and God Bless you all.

TLDR is an acronym for Too Long, Didn't Read. Can you explain what you're trying to say in a sentence or two?

Yeah.  I was looking for a question but it's basically a rant, frustration over nothing.

Whining about 60Hz just shows how young you are.  Come back when you dig that 13" TV as a monitor with a Commodore 64.

4K TVs are perfectly fine and moving along well.  Besides, what 27" 3440x1440 are you looking at?  They're 34 and 35" which are basically 40 inch 16:9 with the black bars removed.

Edit:  Wrote 43 instead of 34" for the ultrawide size.

What you should do is stop obsessing with 4k and give an ultrawide a chance.

You can already find 3440x1440p120hz IPS monitors on the market that should give you peace of mine

I basically want a 40" 4k Curved 120hz or 144hz or 165hz monitor.  When I view youtube or netflix on the TV with 120 motion rate its soo fluid and smooth.  Also Sonar Platinum the bar moves smooth and doesn't jerk on the tv.  Why do they make gaming monitors at high refresh rate when high refresh rate actually matter on the desktop as well.  Like your mouse movement, dragging windows, the bar on apps like DAW or Premiere plus youtube and netflix showing smooth life like.. like how it is on my TV.  Ive had a 4k since 2014 28" non led.  Now what I have is great despite the crummy VA colors and 60hz.  I don't want a gaming monitor because I want 4k desktop adn 1440p gaming with no borders.  WASABI MANGO sells a 43" 4k 120hz but its FLAT, and once you go curved there is no going back.  So I have no options.  Make a high refresh rate 4k curved 40" is what I yurn for.

As far as I know, that doesn't exist... yet. You'll have to wait for those to reach the market.

I've never owned a monitor with a 4K resolution, and I've never owned a monitor that ran at anything past 75Hz.

I legitimately don't know how it feels to use a high resolution or high refresh rate monitor for non-gaming tasks.

So ya, I can't say much about this topic.

You know those TV were not 240hz right? Those are 60hz TVs. And there are only 1-2 4K 120hz monitors out there, both of which are 27in.

I am in the same boat but my solution is 3840 X 1600 75hz and hopefully 144hz by the end of the year.

Like you I am not a fan of 3440 X 1440 monitors. They are ok on their own but if you have a large 4k monitor in the same room the look low res.

The 3840 X 1600 resolution stands up well against 4k. Even the 4k textures I use on my modded games show the detail that my 3440 X 1440 monitor couldn't.

It is also easier to run with an average of 20 frames over 4k on the same game with the same settings.

Also playing a game like Assassin's Creed Odyssey on a curved 38" monitor is incredible and makes my 32" 4k monitor feel cramped.

Eventually I would like a 4k 21:9  38" curved monitor. If they are ever made. But I am limited to a RTX 2080 ti and it is only good for 60fps at 4k on a game like Assassin's Creed Odyssey so 3840 x 1600 will be fine until a card comes along with at least 35% more power.

Yes 4k @ 60fps is not desirable.  1440p along with all AA methods turned on and maxed out is better and will give you triple digit frame rates.
