pc crashing ingame

SooWhat

My pc randomly crashes during gameplay. No, no bluescreen. The screen freezes during gaming and the sound "gets stuck". A reboot fixes it and i can game again, but the crashing still keeps happening aprox. once every two days. Adjusted my gpu fan speed for the card to never go over 67°C. CPU stays only around 55°C during gaming.

Im just getting really frustrated with it.

It happens during Apex Legends (Im just playing this right now).

All suggestions are welcome ;)

That WD Green doesn't supposed for daily usage tho, especially gaming that needs constant read-speed. It runs slow (it is designed for huge amount of data storage). Probably that's why the game is lagging.

Get a faster HDD (like WD Blue) or, just upgrade to SSD. Use the faster drive one for boot and gaming drive, or few apps if you use them either (that needs speed, either).  No need a lot of them tho, 120 GB or 250 GB might be enough as you can actually use the Green one for data storage.

Humor me, as you should do.

Whoops, not lags then, didn't read it carefully.

But yeah, both crashes and lags can be the same reason either. That WD Green can affect it.

It's from me, others can tell another.

And get that SSD if you wanna survive the desperation of crashes lol xD

Try other games. Maybe Apex just won't play nice with your machine.

See if you can recreate it while doing either high intensity CPU usage or GPU usage. Try and narrow it down. Run Memtest

PC - i7 12700K | EVGA FTW3 3090 | Corsair H150i | ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A | 32GB Corsair Vengance | Lian Li O11 Evo & EVGA 1k PSU

If my post solved your problem/answered your question, please consider marking it as "solved"
