What is the difference between 60 and 144 hlz?

Thats an old myth thats been debunked. You can 1000000000% tell the difference visually between 60 and 144hz refresh.

Human's eye can see up to 1000 FPS and, perhaps, above!!!!!!

well we can detect objects at over 1000 but we really cannot identify consistent video frame rates after certain levels

Like a dot of light flashing only once for 1/1000th of a second , but not a video running at 1000fps

24 FPS / 24 Hz?

I was able to EASILY see the difference between 60 Hz and 144 Hz. Never gong back to 60 Hz.

 

Human eyes are more sensitive, and you can't gauge anything by FPS / Hz. Your're not a machine / robot.

24, with a bunch of blurring, is when it STARTS to look fluid (e.g. not like a slideshow).

Our eyes don't work in FPS at all, it's been proven that certain individuals can tell a difference upto 1000FPS but it's really an individual thing, certain people can while others cannot.

 

Personally I can't tell above 60 which is why I prefer high resolution over high FPS but I have a friend whose the exact opposite and goes for 244hz displays.

fun fact , animated shows are usually half the frame rate for the animation so 12.5 to 15fps

But becuase the pan and scan is 30 you tend to not notice it :)

well, I wear glasses and I can’t even tell the difference of 4k over 1080p :D

just go to an apple store and swipe the homescreen on an iPad Pro and on a regular iPad and report back to us whether you noticed a difference or not.

 you will only tell the difference between 4k and 1080p depending on the monitor size and distance from it. If you have a 27 inch 1080p monitor and sit inside of 2 feet, you can see the pixels. Outside of that, you wont be able to see it.

You won't notice one if its not that much. You can also compare 144 Vs 240 even though it will be hard there's still a difference

Again, not everyone can tell the difference. Some people can, others can't.

 

Generally the higher you go the less people can notice the improvement.

In Games, TV and Movies blurring is added to each frame as in real life motion blur is a thing (look out of a car window while doing 60), it smooths out the transition between frames so our brains don't notice the fact it's a load of static images stitched together.

No, you misunderstand. For some people there won't be a difference at all, I'm one of those people.

 

I genuinely cannot tell a difference between 60 and 244, I've played on 120, 144, 200 and 244 hertz displays, it feels identical to me. Below 60 and I notice instantly, above 60 makes no difference to me. My personal preference is 4K 60FPS with Adaptive Sync because high resolution makes a bigger difference to me than high FPS.

 

My best friend however loves his 244hz display, he plays everything at 1080p and as high an FPS as he can because he does notice the difference. Heck I've known him to run games at lower settings and sacrifice visual quality to get higher FPS.

 

To some people there will be no noticeable difference. Remember our eyes are not mechanical and everyone is different, there's no one size fits all answer.

I did it in my iPad air 2 and didn’t notice a hell. All I saw was a blur colored in the colors of apps.
