Graphic card tips for my new system...?!

and if u have to buy a OC card. which would u buy for u? from the 2070s..?

I wouldn't by a overclocked card, I would buy at the lower end with a T106A Die and OC the card myself. Even with the good clocks from this card it is power limited, I plan on bridging the shunt resistors on my card with liquid metal to allow the card to draw more power.

This Evga card has the same core boost clock of 1710 as a Founders Edition Card. My card without touching the OC on the core boosts up to 1975Mhz with the GPU Boost built in.

cool, from length in my case ophion evo no problem. But how depth is the card? I tested the rog strix 2070, the depth was the problem,,,can u tell me that?

Expencive variants of cards are rarely worth it.

And in germany, mindfactory among others often have good deals on Vega 64 cards. The Nitro+ being an amazing pickup atm.

2070 isnt a very powerhungry card, you can get most of the cards as long as it isnt a blower cooler.

The top of the card only goes past the PCI-E plates about 6-8mm.

The XC Ultra has a 15Mhz higher Boost Clock but it sports a triple slot heatsink. Where the XC Gaming is Dual Slot. So you could get some better thermals, I would image the OC would be about the same The Ultra would run a little cooler and a bit quieter. But if you were to expand into watercooling the XC Gaming would be the best bang for the buck and you save $40-50 from a cooler you would just take off.

Hard to comment on that, I myself run a LG 4K 60hz HDR10 IPS display OC to 69hz. I most games at medium-high settings and average 60fps. If there are some games you would like me to run or some benchmarks at certain resolutions I be more than happy to send you the results so you would no what to expect.

I was concerning a AOC 4k when i bought this monitor the main reason i went with this one was because it was on sale and I got a open box model and saved almost $150 from regular price.

They are decent, IPS is going to give you much better color but your going to lack in the refresh area. IPS 144hz trend to run on the expensive side.

I would still lean toward EVGA, my reason are as follows.

EVGA much better customer service support and RMA experience.

EVGA card is capable with EK Vector Water Block for potential Water cooling support. The Gigabyte will not fit that block. Not saying there isn't a block that might but the EK Vector won't fit that card.

Gigabyte does have a 4 year warranty as long as you register online apposed to 3 year with EVGA so that would be up to how long you think you would keep the card before an upgrade.

Even though the gigabyte card uses 3 fans they have to spin up pretty good to keep up with the heat from TU106A die. It would only be slightly quieter during load over the EVGA.

In my opinion I would go with the EVGA card because of those facts, also I don't mind extra noise myself I tend to run very aggressive fan curves for my case fans.

Either card would be a good bet but i have heard that the Gigabyte cards don't OC all that well some i have seen they can only get up to 60Mhz offset on the core before they are flagged with reliable voltage issue and the card backs off some.

This is what i would choose, if you go any bigger on 1440p the dpi is going to not look good any i guarantee you will be unhappy if you do anything other than gaming on it.

Hi,

with your specs needs i could only suggest the rtx 2070 for the time being….. The new Navi cards that are expected to release with the summer could be worth the wait as maybe can be the release of a non rtx card on nivdia's side...  I had set a the same amount of money aside for my gpu … my mark was the Aorus rtx 2070 which is just under 700 euro's/dollars in my country.
I'm not one to bother much for OC settings… << if i need to OC then i bought the wrong equipment ;)
