PUBG is barely able to run on the i3-4340 as it is and you have its slightly worse brother, and that was before the recent update to minimum of i5-4430. Your CPU will also bottleneck whatever GPU that is required (PUBG listed GTX 960 as minimum)

FIFA, you'd get by as they list 2nd gen i3 & GTX460/R7 260 as a minimum.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600  Heatsink: ID-Cooling Frostflow X GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 Mini 6GB RAM: KLEVV Bolt 3600Mhz (2x8GB) Mobo: ASUS B550-F ROG Strix (Wifi)  Case: Fractal Design Meshify C PSU: Deepcool DQ-M-V2L

I'd recommend a better CPU either way, but if he wants high details I'd just replace everything.

My PC specs:

CPU: Core i3-4130 3.4GHz

Motherboard: Gigabyte H-81M S2PV

RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz

get a gtx 1660 for now.

you will then see how weak cpu is to handle games, hang on as long as you can.

2option here:

get used i5 non k for cheap or

upgrade whole system to zen2 or better

Bottleneck fearmongering? Really? His CPU isnt good, but its fine.

You can upgrade the PC for relativly cheap and achieve 1080p60 at high with some CPU stuff turned off

He hasnt specified PSU. He most likely needs to get a PSU. And we dont have a budget to work with

He definitely should replace everything anyway, because I can almost guarantee it won't run PUBG. Or it will at about 1-3fps?

I had a H81M motherboard myself and let me tell you, we talking bargain basement here. Its not even PCIe 3.0.

On his iGPU, no it wont run well.

But he can very much get this 1080p60 capable for about 150$ using a used GPU.

It literally doesn't even meet the minimum requirements listed by PUBG.

Spoiler
  • MINIMUM:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: 64-bit Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-4430 / AMD FX-6300
    • Memory: 8 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB / AMD Radeon R7 370 2GB
    • DirectX: Version 11
    • Network: Broadband Internet connection
    • Storage: 30 GB available space

what is this about?

op's h81 got a 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16

furthermore 2.0 & 3.0 have barely no impacts on performance

And? CPU requirements arent allways very accurate.

And the fx6300 being in there says it all when it comes to what CPU he could be running.

Doesnt affect performance on any GPU avavible today. Even the most powerful GPU is unaffected.

OP you have a budget to work with? Also what is you PSU?

True and the performance difference (if there are any) are negligible anyway, but the other higher tier chipsets from the same era were all already PCIe 3.0

My budget for my gpu is not that much. 110$ is my budget for gpu. I have kinda no options for a new PC at this moment. My power supply is of 400W. The photo is given below. Sorry for the late reply. I had my exams. I've now tried playing pubg on my current build. I can already run pubg at low settings.

Get a new CX550 (2017) for 50$.

And then hunt down a R9 290x or 290 for 80$ afterwards. Or get yourself an HD 7970 for 60$ or R9 280x/280 for 60$.

Its a wonder you still have a PC...

You absolutely NEED a good quality PSU, if you don't want to kill your PC.

Yes, its that bad of a thing. you'd be better of getting a DELL or something like that next time. At least the PSU would have been OK...

Ok, first things first, change the power supply. As others have stated, that thing is a fire hazard.

If your budget is capped at $115 get this psu. It's not the best, but it's a hell of a lot better than what you have and it's $26 after rebate and shipping

Power supply

Then get a rx 470 from Ebay. Like this one:

Rx 470

Offer the guy $65
