Hello there! My friend recently got a "new" PC. Its not much but its his, unfortunately he cannot install the latest drivers, he tried 15.2 and also 15.3. Device manager said 15.3 was the latest one. When he launched Fortnite, it simply crashes, can't even load the game. Also seeing a lot of contradictory information, some sources his card only supports DX11, but windows says it supports DX12. He has tried DDU around 3 times now.

The error for fortnite is UE4-FortniteGame-Athena

Specs:

core 2 quad q9500

radeon hd 7450

8gb ddr2

330gb Hard Drive

Corsair VS450

Any help is greatly appreciated!

As much as i could say even if you got it working, This Is not going to run fortnite well at all. Its going to be a horrid experience.

Might be just issues with Legacy hardware saying this hardware is faulty or just not having drivers properly.

Most DX11 video cards automatically support DX12, so there's nothing wrong there.

His card isn't on this list though
