I´m looking for a pair of heaphones, i have a budhet of $100 USD and my priority is audio quality as I will use them just ofr listening music

This ones seem like a great option, the audiotechncia M40X

Is this a good choice? If not, what should I buy instead?

I find m40x has comfort issues. so you would want to spend probably another $15-20 on a pad upgrade specifically brainwavz hm5.

other options would be the status audio cb1 which is really comfortable cheaper , sounds just as good maybe better that would depend on your own judgement but isn't built as well. your other option would be the takstar pro 82 again sounds just as good if not better but by far the most comfortable headphone around this budget maybe just most comfortable headphone it's also built really well. for around $100 these are these are my general first picks includint the m40x with the pad upgrade.

edit: forgot to say be it any if the senns @Wufflez mentioned or any of the ones I mentioned they are all really good headphones for the price point.

M40X aren't anywhere close to these sennheisers except the 569, the open back design ( of 559/598/558/599 etc ) alone kills the M40X.
M40X probably competes with something like G4ME Zero, 598CS or Samson SR950 ( probably the closest to m40x due to similar sound sig ).

I would not recommend M40X for gaming ( Reason: Lack of soundstage and requires extra ~20$ for decent earpads ). For music it should be somewhat OK, average probably.

Get the 598SR / 599 instead ( should be around $100, price fluctuates ). In worst case you can get the 559 ( it's obviously good for the price, but some ppl describes them as having dark sound, you may or may not like it ).

I forgot to ask what.type of music do you listen to?

All kinds of music

I will pick the M40X, the reviews I had seen  says that offer a more equilibrated sound in treble, middle, and bass
