All I was arguing was your comparison over a $70 DAC amp combo vs a $200 soundcard in terms of sound quality was a wee bit unfair. As if you were to get a $200 external DAC amp set up you will get a better sounding setup regerless if it's USB or if it's toslink.

SoundBlaster Recon3D isn't a $200 soundcard and I said I will also take that over my DAC. Similarly priced, soundcard still wins. I'm running a high end setup and the soundcard does better for me. Thats it

You may have some mid Fi headphones but most audiophiles would hesitate tomca you setup high end  because I have a compatible setup and no one would call it high end

You're arguing with a collection of brick walls, dude.  I agree with pretty much everything you've written, but the "group think" here is fairly anti-discrete card.  Based purely out of ignorance, for the most part.

Best thing to do for your own sanity's sake is duck out.  You're not going to convince them otherwise. ?

But then again sound is completely subjective so no judgements here for whatever you personally think is better

Agreed on the headphones, although I'll take the HD650's over the HD58x any day. The stereo is much higher end than my headphones, however (mainly because I use it more).

I prefer speakers over headphones too I just don't have the cash to pour into that. After trying both cans I ended up liking the 58x over the 650. I just like the less refined  sound with more low end better. It is a more fun headphone for me to listen to

Well I think the arctis pros will work fine with a g6 dac amp.

Pretty sure the address arctis pro comes with a USB DAC amp. That should be enough for that headset tbh.
