High end monitors/screens of 2020 and beyond

Juggynaut

Hello all, first time on the forum. I have a relatively simple question to do with the highest end screens available for gaming. I know the x34 predator is pretty impressive at 1440p, curves ultra wide with 100(now 120)hz refresh, gsync, ips, etc, and that was great. But it got me wondering, when will we see a 4K version of that, especially now that RTX SLI is a thing. It seems we would have enough hardware to drive the panel, but I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find a 4K panel that comes even remotely close to those specs, let alone in ultra wide or curved. Is there some fundamental reason this hasn’t happened yet or is it just not time for such a thing?

LG has what's basically a 4k high refresh rate ultrawide. I can't recall the model number because it's just a bunch of letters and numbers, but it's a 38" beast.

SLI is a horrible idea.

I'd love a 4K, 27-30", IPS, 1 (true)ms, 240 Hz, VRR display - though imagine the cost!

Add 100% Adobe RGB/sRGB/ HDR, you get what I want

I am waiting for 2 monitors.

First a 32" 100 to 144hz 4k monitor.

I don't like 27-28" 4k. I bought 2 and used one for 2 years. I also use a RTX 2080 ti and on some games my frames are much higher than 60. I would not mind paying around $2000 since I use my 4k 32" monitor more than my TV.

Second, I am waiting for LGs 38" 144hz 3840 X 1600 ultrawide monitor. I have the 75hz version and love it.

If a 38" 4k ultrawide came out I would probably get it if it got good reviews. If one came out a 34" I would pass. My 34" 3440 X 1440 monitor felt too cramped.

I’m basically waiting for 4K curved ultrawide above 32”, 120hz, Gsync, ips, quantum dot, 1ms response, and 98%or better coverage of rgb. And two of them.
