Who likes/dislikes it and why.

Dislike: Tiny. Not a laptop suitable for gaming on. Also, Huawei.

fair point, I think gaming would still be ok with it, right? The display is amazing and the GPU kinda capable, right? I just want something really light...

I'm not particularly knowledgeable on such low-end GPUs, but comparing similar ones, you might be able to play some games at 720p.

As for the indebted thing if it is not for school or work, basically any purpose where it will be an investment, then yeah very dumb.

As for the laptop wait for reviews.

My personal opinion is not to support Huawei. Also thin and light laptops are great for web browsing, notes, and office tasks, but they cannot dissipate heat. A high spec thin and light is a waste of time and money unless you like sitting in xtu and seeing it say thermal limit.

If it doesn't thermal throttle into oblivion

The MX250 should be able to handle most games if you turn the settings down

It is for work, I will be going to a media school where I'm expecting to edit 1080p footage (at least) regularly and audio stuff...

Gaming would be an added bonus...

I kinda want a laptop that can charge via USB-C

Ideally light but you might be right I can't have it all

I like the design, I like how it has a full size USB port in a compact body, and the screen bezels are nice.
I'd never buy it because it's made by Huawei.

What's all your problems with Huawei? I honestly don't think they are doing any more snooping than Google, Apple, Facebook etc do anyway?

Why support a company that uses anti consumer policies when there are other options?

Huge LTT fan, be watching for years, and i picked up a matebook pro x myself after a few different laptops. I was surprised to see no reviews on the matebook pro x, which to me is extremely surprising. For an ultra book it basically has everything you could ask for..great build, super tiny bezels, 3K multi touch screen, descrete graphics, 2 USB C ports and a 1 A port...headhphone jack, SUPER dope keyboard and track pad...to top it all off, the build quality is absolutely amazing.  So i find it super odd that linus hasn't taken the time to review one..even though it seems they had one in the office...so it's not like they didn't have it to do it.  After all the complains i keep hearing him have about laptops. it just seems even more strange that it hasn't been reviewed yet or just talked about more in general.

I'm waiting for the 2019 version with the i7-8565U and the MX250 to come out in the UK....  It looks like a great laptop overall - I'm not expecting to do any gaming with it, just for work, browsing the web/youtube and some photo/video editing.

Would love to see a review, I don't know why it hasn't been done yet. The one thing that concerns me it's the temperature/thermal throttle...
