300 Dollar Vega 56 A Good Buy?

Djinnux

So I see this gigabyte vega 56 card at 309 on newegg right now.  Is this a great buy and would a guy in the market to build something new that's somewhat midrange do well to grab this card?

I probably since you can get a 1660 TI for $280 to $310 and will perform close to a 1070 and if it is a reference card the cooler on it is horrible

that card has problems, wait for other models to go on sale. The powercolor one was 320 before it sold out, worst case the 2060 is always 350usd.

Is a 56 still a viable option ?  compared to the other stuff sub 350 bucks?

the 56 with the 3 games is a great deal for 320-350, just avoid the gigabye model.

That's very bad at my place a reff card is around 205ish USD and for red devil 250ish USD. Other models maybe a bit higher than the red devil

The only one that is $320 is the MSI with a blower style cooler and that one is the 2nd cheapest with the 3rd cheapest being the Asus Strix model for $380. Though if you don't care for DMC 5, RE 5, and the Division 2 I'd at that point go for an RTX 2060.

Over the past 24-48 hours there was RX Vega 56 and 64 cards on sale for less than £250, and RX580s for less than the £200 mark.

Powercolour, ASUS and Gigabyte.

The Zotac 1070 is generally on sale for £250 or less at the moment, however there has been a spike in price to £275 the past two days.

Im looking for a second card at the moment as i need one for a second build to use till i can sort out my X299 issues.
