Did you use this motherboard previously?

If not, I'd probably say that you need to update your drivers.

This sounds like a "utility" rather than a "driver"

Are you certain that there isn't a "LAN driver" option?

Do you have the latest WIndows Update?
Sometimes it solves driver issues....
Also make sure your network details (Gateway, DNS, IP, PORTs are same as in old computer)....

If you haven't changed something in your router then it is most probably fine.
However you should go to the connection properties...
Copy and paste this path in file explorer.. Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections ...
Right click on your current network and go to properties..
There you should see a driver tab go there and try to update your driver.

Dumb question but does the cable type matters regarding internet speed?cause i use the same cable in my old pc and it worked just fine, maybe does it have to do with the mobo connecctors? (i got a 2mb internet speed)

yep there are a lot of ethernet cables lets say cat 3 can do up to 10mb/sec while the cat 5 can do up to 1000mb\sec,but in your case if you have just 2mb it dosn't really matter.

so the other thing i can think about that the game you are playing assign you to a far away server, check it out.

also when i get high ping on games i rebot the router which help most of the times so give it a try

Update: i think i fixed the problem,i noticed two lights in my ethernet port, one red solid and one amber blinking, made some research and turns out i had to change the internet connection to 10mbs full duplex in the internet settings where it used to "negotiable" now i only have the amber blinking light and no red
