and then there's the sensible part. Tier S doesnt mean it's a sensible buy unless you're going extreme (liquid nitrogen everywhere, soldering extra capacitors to improve voltage stability etc). Even the 9900k only really need tier A for a daily system

Not sure, I'll try and go through some of the sources we used to make this list. If I find anything then I'll let you know.

It seems kind of odd that an X470 board would get a Tier D rating though.. maybe something went wrong and we placed it in Tier D accidentally.

Yeah, it's going to be a lot of work to update. Fortunately for us we won't be adding a bunch of boards all at once (it makes the workload lighter for us), the updates will be spread out over the course of a few weeks (maybe even a month) as it'll take a while for reviews to be released.

We can't give an estimate on when we're going to update it yet, all I can say is that it'll probably be updated around the time that motherboard reviews for B550/X570 boards come out.

You needn't to be a master to know it is indeed worth it :P

 

While the Prime is actually alright considering ASUS current product line ups, the Taichi is definitely a product I'd pick over it for such small "premium".

unless you prefer not having wifi and best RGB then of course why get the incredible x470 gaming 7 with basically the same performance as well when you can get a mobo with a non transferable 1 year warranty ASROCK product instead of the transferable 3 year warranty AORUS product and be married to the damn thing forever since it's resale value with no warranty is right in the trashcan where asrock products belong.

 

Hear thermals on trash bins are top notch these days.

Literally just buy a 1920x is best CPU
