Graphics Card (Cooling/VRM) Tier List (Navi Update)

With Adrenalin 21.4.1, and my usual UV/Power Limit/aggressive fan setting, and after more than one hour of COD MW WZ SP campaign (room's at a comfy 23C), I took a screenshot of the max sensor readings with latest version of GPU-Z:

spacer.png

Temps look pretty good, this is while gaming at 3840x1080, max ingame + RT enabled.....buttery smooth. Pretty amazed at the high memory usage (dedicated). CPU's being cooled by a 360mm AIO in a CM H500M which has great airflow. I think it's pretty nifty to see good temps on a high end card, which usually runs hot, just ask my Vega 64 Red Devil.

As an Asus Dual owner, I can vouch for the absolutely crude cooling solution, specifically the fans on this hot boy. (No pun intended)

I paid 18000NOK with a 10% discount because i had spent some other 12000NOK on the store.. The fact that i paid 2010USD in September.. And the same card is now costing 2525$ 😐

Not sure if it was worth blowing almost my first cars value from 2012.. for a MSI RTX GEFORCE 3080 TI SUPRIM X

Also yeah i would love to get the tier list back.. Unless i get too lazy and make one.

Useful threads: PSU Tier List | Motherboard Tier List | Graphics Card Cooling Tier List ❤️

I also drive a volvo as one does being norwegian haha, a volvo v70 d3 from 2016.

Reliability was a key thing and its my second car, working pretty well for its 6 years age xD

Would there be much difference getting a ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 TI ROG Strix LC OC than a ASUS GeForce RTX 3090 TI TUF Gaming OC outside the first card having a hybrid version.

What is technicly better between these cards?

The hybrid solution or the slightly higher clocked latter asus card?

I have an EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked w/ EVGA ACX Cooler. Sad to see that the SC ACX 2.0 is only ranked as C tier. Even though this tier list is for the 10 series, it is the same Superclocked (SC) family and with and the updated 2nd gen ACX cooler. My 780 Ti only has the original cooler design, though maybe this design could have been good back in the day relative to the other 700 series designs. Who knows?

I agree I need an update on the actual rtx performance of rx 7000 vs the performance of rtx 4000 in ray traced tasks

Imagine everything i have written in a Linus Voice/ linus tone (Spock live long and prosper gif here ,idk why tho, i guess i just want to say that i like star trek and am waiting for new seasons of the ongoing shows), But seriously, a lot of what i type only makes sense when said in a Linus tone from an older ltt video (circa 2017-2019 & now 2024-onwards) basically before he got a beard and a lot of it should make sense even in a Linus with a beard face.

also note as per the latest typing test on my laptop, my accuracy is 69%

I'm not weird/creepy, I'm just observant I have ADHD and am not on any meds for it.

I need some advice please

I opened my gtx 1070 ti to clean it and apply new thermal paste and pads

I used 1mm thick thermal pads on the gpu because and I only had enough cash for 1 set of thermal pads

The problem is now my gpu die is not making contact with the heatsink and is running on 82c at 100% usage the entire time

Well what more do you need to know aside from the pads being too think?

Is this thread still active? Need to know which brand or model are better for AMD RX 6000 XT series, specifically, RX 6700 XT or RX 6750 XT. Don't factor in the price.
