So fellow tech people.

I have always employed the services of a sound card in my builds but i have been out of the "game" for the past 7 years but now its time i upgraded my old beast, well a new build.

What i cant decide on is if i get a new sound card, use my old one or go on board sound on the new CROSSHAIR VII HERO X470.

I have at the moment an X Fi Extreme Audio and an Asus Xonar D2(X Maybe).

Speakers are Logitech Z906, Headset's are Logitech G35 USB (So pointless here) and Sennheiser PC360 but i think ill get a new headset too.

What do we suggest peeps.

on board on modern mobos are really good nowadays. and there is almost no reason to grab a soundcard even if you want a higher end audio solution. for example you get into audiophile headphones ore speakers you would want and external DAC an AMP solution rather than a sound card. gaming headphones and speakers often come with a usb solution which is basically an external soundcard in itself.

They aren't bad headphones

they aren't bad but they aren't good at the price they present. as they are easily out classed by a few in their own weight class and even cheaper.

yes I' also owned them and sold them after hearing other closed backs. takstar pro 82 more comfortable, flatter response cheaper, ath m40x's better built cheaper sounds better after a pad change, dt 770 better built sounds waay better, more comfortable. same price only con is non nondetachable cable. I got pulled in by reviewers like mkbhd. selling me on them then I realized they are general tech reviewers and not headphone reviewers.
