title says it all

The term is only used for AMD products.

Intel’s recently released update to its processors also qualifies as an APU; Intel simply seems unwilling to use the definition.

You're correct, Intel just doesn't use the term.

Cause Intel doesn't want people comparing some low end processor with onboard graphics vs 4770k and grouping the two as APUs. :P

amd cpus/apus (i dont care anymore :P) arent low end most of them are rather solid in meany ways

AMD said Intel's processors are classified as APUs by their definition.  Intel is just ignoring the term.

aaaa good ol intel giving competitors the cold shoulder, sounds friendly business

It's a AMD brand name, i believe.

I also think that the GPU is build into the north-bridge, that's how it works on none AMD APU's anyway.

They just don't want to be related to other companies even though they are still PC's.
