It's more of a relief after AMD being competitive again bringing better products? Like shouting "yeah" after the underdog won the match, only you use "AMD yes" everywhere.

Maybe just a slogan like "Intel Inside", nothing out of the ordinary.

AMD ryzen in Chinese is called dragon something. Qualcomm snapdragpon also translates literally to some dragon in Chinese(call speedy dragon or something) but that is a faithful translation. Speedy is snappy isn't it? ryzen on the other hand... how did they translate ryzen into a dragon in Chinese? Makes no sense. AMD is simply taking advantage of the cultural icons for marketing purposes. Phoneix and dragons always have been Chinese mythical symbols for prosperity and longevity. Now all their ryzen cpus are call dragon this and dragon that in Chinese. Intel doesn't do that. Their names in Chinese are simply Intel i7, i9, and so on.

It's just a phrase used by fans to support AMD. As long as I remember it appeared around the announcement of first gen ryzen and gained popularity after the second gen. People are just happy to see that AMD is making the PC market active again with the recent achievements of ryzen. It has never been a official slogan like "intel inside" though.

according to china's Quroa equivalent: https://www.zhihu.com/question/293240802

otherwise without the OP context (the earliest I can remember) it might be from a WAN show where Luke oversimplified a binary argument outcome to (x company) NO (y company) YES

(forgot which two companies were they ._.)

As a Chinese I can confirm that it is indeed from that WAN show. Some Chinese techtubers watched the show and spread the term (on Youku, Bilibili.com and baidu tieba/AMD) and all Chinese AMD fanbois now just screams it whenever possible.
