Hello,

I bought Dell Precision M6600  back in 2013 for my college projects. It has been working fine. I have all the original components except for RAM I switched it from 2GB to 16 and added a secondary SSD.

After I switched from windows 7 to windows 10 my bluetooth module stopped working. I tried to contact Dell support they refused to hear a single word as my 5 year warranty plan ended and they refused to extend anymore.

Is it worth to upgrade my system at this point? if yes, what can I upgrade to its max?

I paid nearly $2500 for this, i want to keep it for atleast next 5-7 years. Below are my current specs:

Internal Swipe Fingerprint Reader and Contactless Smartcard Reader,

Dell Wireless 375 Bluetooth Mo dule, ROW,

Intel Core i7-2860M Quad Core 2.50GHz 8MB,

AMD FirePro M8900 Mobility Pro  Graphics with 2GB GDDR5,

16.0GB, DDR3-1333 SDRAM, 1 DIMM

Intel Centrino Advanced -N + WiMAX 6250

Intel Core i7 vPro Processor i7-2860QM CPU @2.50GHz

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks !!

I'm not sure about what you mean, i know you are wondering about upgrading the laptop, or upgrading to a new laptop if it isn't going to work the best for the next 5ish years. But the real question we have for you before we can answer anything is what is the purpose of the upgrade, and what are you using/needing it for, like specific programs or fields of study/use.

Nothing to see here, move along
