so i have one display port in the motherboard plugged into the monitor

then i have one hdmi plugged into the monitor to the motherboard

then the monitor plugged into an wall outlet with a regular power cord

its so weird because the computer turns on.. it just has no signal(the monitor)

Why are both cables plugged in?

Use a DisplayPort and connect it to your monitor via the Graphics Card if it has a DP port. Or you could use a HDMI if it doesn't have a DP connection. Only use 1 cable though not 2, unless you use more than 1 monitor

i have tried that. i even switched the monitor output setting to the correct setting(wether it was display port or hdmi 1) i still get no signal. this happened when i first got the parts .. and somehow i was able to get a signal and i just left it as that...but i accidentally bumped the loose psu cord to have the computer turn off. then i turned it back on and the monitor says no signal now... this

Reseat the cables? Both power and connection.

Do you have another monitor to compare with?

Have you tried a different cable to the 2 you have already. When I built my pc I ordered a DisplayPort cable off of Amazon and it worked for 2 week before failing, but my HDMI cable I use for my xbox showed that it was the cable that was faulty.

You said the computer turns on, do all the fans spin, is the GPU and motherboard connected properly, just check all the connections to make sure they aren't loose.

yes all the fans spin, the psu fan spins, the gpu fans spin, everything is on. i used the cables it came with

nope i probably use upgrade. i know the problem is the psu cable always being loose or the monitor cabel that connects to the wall outlet being loose aswell. its either one of those two. or the way i plug it in..the cabels which is dumb because it was working right after i turned off the pc.... i dont know what to try next, any suggestions

If they're loose, how come you can't just push them in so they... aren't loose.

i can push them in, but they are still somewhat loose. i have a 4k lg monitor with a ryzen motherboard..and a good one to. so i dont know why this is happening. i need to test it with another monitor and see if its the monitor itself

That's what I would recommend.
