NIC for gamer (I want to buy Intel Network Interface Card)

Hello,

 

So I have onboard LAN on my Asrock z97 Killer motherboard (i7 4970k) which come with E2200 ethernet onboard chip. I play a lot of games and want to get rid off CPU load affected by onboard LAN card and killer branded stuff in general. The best choice at this point will be to invest in PCIe NIC. I really want intel, but can' t find a good offer on the internet (UK). On Amazon there is plenty of cards but they are not Intel branded after all (even when image show Intel product).

There is no performance hit.  Your trying to fix something that is not broken.  Your CPU will remain at 0 percent usage say if your downloading something.  When playing game there is no performance hit using the onboard lan my friend.  You will get the low latency and there is no hit on your pc what so ever.

Yeah there is no way you'll notice any difference.

Why tho, nothing is broken, no need to change anything, if you insist then its a pure waiste of time.

Just install the software, usually the driver remains and that's all you need.

I have an E2200 on my file server's board and the software is ass and whores up cycles for seemingly no reason. Uninstall it and just install the .INF's for the driver and it'll be like literally any other gigabit solution out there.

Games use incredibly little bandwidth.  And the Marvell or Broadcom ethernet chips (which are usually installed when a vendor is too cheap to use Intel) really aren't all that bad CPU-wise..  I've pushed full saturation of gig-E speeds overall of them with relatively little CPU utilization.
