Ya know, the way that keyboard looks is a lot less garish than what I was expecting.

TBH I might grab one, though I just bought two new keyboards at Christmas for the wife and I

Ive seen them down in the $30 range (not this brand) but didn't pull the trigger because the (as you perfectly describe) garish state of the keyboard, coupled with crap reviews on Amazon etc.

Might be worth an impulse buy. Might pick one of these up or maybe some RGB light bulbs to play around with. Hmm

Can you tell me why?  I know I can google but I like talking to people better - testimonies are better than reviews imho!

Well, if i was gonna use it as a daily driver, id go brown. I dont own a brown keyboard, but i liked it on every display I have tested.

I already spent a bunch of money on my Steelseries Apex M750 though which uses their in house QX2 switch and this is what i use daily.

The $30 board would be used for a guest or something (I have a lot gamers in the family) since I already have a few spare PCs but no Keyboard/mouse for them (not any that arent junk anyhow)

Anyhow, i feel that the blue switches are flashier in a sense and would kind of "Show off" more to whoever is using it... Yep, kinda lousy but that's my reason.

Probably the perfect reason actually. - my HTPC can game as well and is used as such when my brother/nieces/nephews/friends kids comes over.  Ill tell the wife this is for the HTPC when its use case is for gaming that evening.  Cant be using no wireless Logitech crap in competitive shooters!  (I currently have 2 keyboard with it lol a Logitech wireless full keyboard and the K400+ Logitech...this is a good enough selling point to the wife to justify in case she complains.)

Exactly! Though those logitech keyboards do sound pretty decent (and possibly more expensive than the new keyboard? LOL)

You're welcome! I say go for it!
